Day 1: Nairobi
Arrive Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to your hotel. (Half Board)
Day 2: Nairobi/Masai Mara
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out. Drive through rich Kikuyu farmland to the edge of Rift Valley. Descend the escarpment and drive via Narok to Masai Mara Game Reserve to arrive in time for lunch. Free afternoon. Enjoy an evening game drive.
Masai Mara is an extension of the Serengeti Eco-system. It is famous for its black manned Lion and the annual migration of the Wildebeest and Zebra. Elephants, Buffalo, Rhino, Gazelle, Leopard, Giraffe are also found there.
Dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge or Similar (Full Board)
Day 3: Masai Mara
An early morning game drive gives us the opportunity to catch up with the predators before they retire in the thickets for the day. Back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast proceed for a 2-3 hour walking safari along small river course and through the savannah for wildlife viewing with the Maasai as guides and interpreters of their land. You can take a refreshing dip in a swimming hole and walk amongst giraffe, impala, zebra and wildebeest. Lunch at the lodge. Free afternoon.
Enjoy an evening game drive.
Dinner and overnight Keekorok Lodge or similar (Full Board)
Day 4: Masai Mara
After an early breakfast proceed for a morning hike to the summit of the Naunare hills guided by a local Maasai warrior. Descend and continue for a game drive. Return to the lodge for lunch. Free afternoon. Enjoy an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge or Similar (Full Board)
Day 5: Mara/L.Naivasha
Early morning game drive. Breakfast at the lodge. Check out and depart for Naivasha. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon take a boat ride in this fresh water lake to the Crescent Island. The Island is a preserved sanctuary of wildlife where you will wander among tiny herds of mammals. A peaceful experience, Giraffe, antelope, gazelle, eland, zebra and lot of birds. Dinner and overnight at L.Naivasha Country club or similar. (Full Board)
Day 6: Hell's Gate National Park.
Leisurely breakfast. Depart with picnic lunch for a full day guided walk in Hells Gate National Park. Discover the 'hell' after going through the gate. The Park is small in size and is located between Naivasha Lake, Mount Longonot and Suswa volcanoes. Covered by ashes from the Longonot eruption which occurred over 100 years ago, the park is famous for its geothermal station, Lower Gorge and spectacular sceneries (cliffs, volcanoes, gorges, geothermal steam).
Here we walk amongst herds of zebra, gazelle and giraffe with a dramatic volcanic backdrop of soaring lava cliffs, steaming volcanic vents and hot springs. It is a very interesting place and you will be amazed to see what creation surprises are still there for you! Late afternoon drive back to your hotel for dinner and overnight. (Full Board)
Day 7 Naivasha/L. Nakuru
Breakfast at the lodge. Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy game drive enroute to the lodge. Lunch. Free afternoon. 1600hrs Evening game drive around this beautiful Lake which is famous for more than one million flamingos. It has been regarded as ‘’The world's Greatest Bird Spectre’’ The park is known for more than 450 species of birds. It's also rich in wildlife. Indigenous mammals seen in the park include the hippopotamus, spotted hyena, lion, leopard, rock hyrax, bat-eared fox, wildcat, golden cat, Bohor reedbuck, Defassa waterbuck and Columbus monkey. Re-introduced species are the endangered Rotschild's giraffe, black and white rhinoceros Note also the presence of a very rare bat, the long-eared leaf-nosed bat (a tiny orange-buff species with ears half the length of the body). The Lookout point on the Baboon cliff offer magnificent views across the lake. The southern side are grasslands and dry bushes and you may visit the Makalia falls.

Day 8: Mt Kenya
Depart Nakuru, via Thompson Falls drive north to arrive at Serena Mountain Lodge for lunch. The lodge offers a matchless game viewing opportunity whilst combining a glorious panorama of mountain vistas with the primordial splendors of an ancient rainforest. Watch wild animals from the balcony of the lodge as they come to drink, bathe, spar and forage around the water hole. Dinner and overnight at Serena Mountain Lodge.
Day 9 Mt. Kenya/Sweetwaters Sanctuary
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge. Probably you have heard of the Kenya's freedom fight and the freedom fighters who were known as Mau Mau. A 2-4 hours walk, visiting the Mau Mau Caves & waterfalls will put you in the picture: A guided walk through a well canopied nature trail in the Mt. Kenya forest to discover the Mau Mau hideouts which were used during the fight for Kenya's independence in the 1950s. Adequate information from naturalist/anthropologist, with demonstrations of the medical applications of the plants and the survival strategies applied by the Mau Mau. Get to know what Mau Mau i.e. M, A, U x2 meant. You will be transferred to Sweetwater’s Sanctuary for lunch at the camp. Afternoon enjoy an evening game drive at the Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp.
Day 10: Nairobi
Breakfast at the camp. Check out. Transfer to Nairobi. Lunch at a Restaurant. Free afternoon for shopping. Day room at the hotel. Farewell dinner at famous Carnivore Restaurant.
Transfer to JKIA for your final Departure.
Kicheche Camp, Masai Mara
4 Days Mara Walking safari (Air Package)
Day 01
Take the 45 minute scheduled morning flight from Wilson Airport, Nairobi to the Masai Mara (departures at 10am and 3pm daily. 15 kg luggage allowance only). We will meet you at the airstrip in Mara and transfer you across the plains to the camp. Freshen up before lunch. Afterwards, relax and absorb the surroundings before setting off on an afternoon game drive till sunset. Return to camp for hot showers, then an aperitif before dining under the stars.
Day 02
Rise early with tea or coffee brought to your tent. At dawn set off for another drive on the plains. Return to the camp for a leisurely breakfast or alternatively have a picnic breakfast out on the plains. After an al-fresco lunch back at camp enjoy a siesta in one of the hammocks slung between the trees. Afternoon tea is followed by further game-viewing to sunset. Return to camp for an evening around the campfire.
D
ay 03
This morning take an escorted game walk. The walk, which takes approximately 3 hours, offers another perspective in viewing the terrain and fauna whilst crossing the plains and passing through bushland.
This afternoon you may wish to visit a traditional Masai manyatta (village) or take another evening game drive.
Day 04
An early morning game drive in the Aitong region or, if you are departing in the afternoon, a full morning game drive with a picnic breakfast is a popular trip.
